This is my first blog. Ever. So I don't really know what I'm doing. But come to think of it, that might be a good thing. That might keep me open and flexible and listening to advise. Hopefully.
So my name is Michelle, and I'm going to Africa. This is a dream come true. Growing up, I would hear sermons about missions and would be ready to hop a plane that day. However, everyone told me I had to finish school first. So, this past May I graduated from high school, and I am off to Africa. That is, if I can raise my support.
Right now I am living at home with my parents, going to church, hanging out with friends, and working at Smoothie King where I have a new favorite smoothie everyday. I'm seriously getting addicted to the things.
I just got home last night from camp with my youth group at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. (Talk about the beauty of God's creation.) The camp was Student Life at the Beach and was my last camp. The speaker was Louie Giglio and worship leader was Chris Tomlin. It was a blessing, and I hope to blog about what I learned there soon. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to be back at home with my normal routine but not lose what I learned about God and life at camp.
Well, I look forward to getting into the world of blogging and getting to know all yall.
