I am finally in Africa and I am loving it!

First I spent a week in training camp in the beautiful mountains of Georgia it was such a good time of getting to know my team and getting focused on God before actually hitting the mission field. We had a lot of guest speakers, time for prayer, and team building games.

It took three days to get to South Africa including a long lay over in Germany. Traveling wasn’t fun but we got here safe and sound.

We are staying at Alabaza which is kind of like a retreat center. The staff is mostly South Africa with a few America missionaries. Everyone has been so welcoming and loving. The first couple days we focused a lot of culture talks and what ministry would look like. Then we finally got to hit the streets. We broke up into four groups and went to different ministry locations. My group went to a township close to where we are staying. There we talked to people at their houses, held children, conducted a street meeting, and prayed a lot. I had a blast!

We don’t have much time to spend on the internet so I am sorry this is so short. I will do my best to write a longer entry later explaining in more detail our work here.

For now please pray for us as we travel to Swaziland tomorrow. We will be there for about a week going to care points, hospitals, and working with children. Swaziland desperately needs the understanding that God not only died for them and wants them to have a new radical life.

Thank you to everyone who has be praying and encouraging me. I feel your love across the ocean and channel that into the people here. I love you all and will write again soon.
